My name is Alex Freyre, I am a member of the Argentine network of People Living with HIV/AIDS and a representative of the Country Coordinating Mechanism of the Global Fund.
The campaign is excellent and was welcomed by men and women and by groups that are more vulnerable. In various discos, even today, there are discos that still play the campaign’s music and some people are still singing it, which implies an internalization of the music and lyrics. This happens in discos where the main target goes dancing and not where the middle class goes dancing.
In the work that we do for prevention in schools, where low class students go, or in discos where these same people go dancing, people come to our booths or condom distribution points and they ask if we have “triki triki”. We’ve also known of people that have talked about “triki triki” in different sexual encounters.
