"The initial grant was suspended. After serious negotiations ... International HIV/AIDS Alliance were appointed as stewards. I am very proud that we have made huge progress."
Growing up, Andriy Klepikov witnessed some of his friends become drug addicts and contract HIV while injecting drugs. This is one of the reasons which motivated him to fight AIDS later in life. He now leads Ukraine’s largest NGO, serving over 90,000 drug users, some of whom are undergoing treatment for AIDS.
